Summer Internship – Site Foreman
Our Summer Internship is an earn while you learn opportunity. This program is for those who are graduating seniors or who will be entering their senior year and are at least 17 years of age. This is a 7 week program during July and August. The hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm. The pay for this is $19/hr.
It includes classroom training as well as working on jobsites. Classroom topics include Safety, PPE use, First Aid, AED, CPR, OSHA regulations, basic tools, materials, and equipment used in the paving industry. Concrete properties, quality control, and concrete paving operations. Tape measure usage, basic math and how to be an effective team member.
On jobsite interns will use various tools, learn prep, including setting up for the paving job, finishing concrete, a ride-a-long on the paver, dump truck and mixer.
Metro Pavers provides all required Personal Protective Equipment.
